The Sydney Subdivision is the second portion of the Cape Breton and Central Nova Scotia Railway’s mainline through Nova Scotia. The subdivision begins in Havre Boucher and end of track is near St. Peters JCT. Track beyond St. Peters JCT is still in place, but has not been used in many years. The NS government provides a subsidy to keep CBNS from pulling the rails.
